My Pet Story With PetPlan

If I’m ever asked if I’ve got any pets you can expect me to
be enthusiastic and soppy when telling you all about my lovely kitty cat!

Yes I truly am a crazy cat lady!

Growing up my mum always loved cats and we had many over the
years all fondly remembered. When myself and my husband bought our own home I
always imagined that we’d have our own cat. This didn’t happen until about 2
years later, but finally my husband agreed we could go and have a look for one.
I was so excited!

We knew we wanted to rescue one so headed to our local
centre. We walked the aisles full of kittens and cats in the windows, but for
some reason none of them appealed to me. We tried to stroke a few but they’d
all run off and hide. I felt sad thinking we would be leaving without one but
just then my husband called me and said look! There was a lady bringing in more
kittens, we went over and straight away there was one that stood out. He looked
different to your normal cat but I couldn’t figure out why. Straight away he
was the only one who came up to us and let us pet him. Instantly we knew he was
supposed to be with us. The two week wait until he was ready felt like forever.

When I finally went to pick him up he was placed in the
carrier and when I get into the car I couldn’t help opening it up to take a
peak at him. He was this feisty little tiny fluff ball! He loved nothing more
than sleeping up on my shoulder or tucked into my neck. The kids absolutely
loved him.

Little did we know just how big our teeny little furbaby
would grow! We knew nothing about where he came from so it was definitely a
surprise when he kept growing. We think he may be part Maine Coone or Norwegian
Forest Cat. He loves his food he eats so much!

Just look at how he has grown when compared with the stuffed toy cat!

He’s such an adventurer I’d like to have a gps tracker on
him to see where he goes. He loves coming for walks with us and he even loves a
game of fetch!

I couldn’t imagine if anything were to happen to him, my
husband says he is dreading that day, as he knows just how inconsolable I will
Pets aren’t just play things they grow to be part of the family and I couldn’t
imagine ours without him even if he is sometimes a bit silly!

  1. Pet insurance is vital, we use direct line and have always found them to be great, I have also heard great things about pet plan, sadly over the years we have had to have 2 beloved pets put to sleep and the insurance company have always been sensitive to this #thatfridaylinky@_karendennis
