In my original post Co-sleeping I'd say I was pretty against co-sleeping. My main thoughts for this was I believed it wasn't safe, and I wouldn't get any time to myself or with my husband for that matter.
But in the last month or so, my two year old daughter has been constantly fighting with us to stay in her cot. She always goes down absolutely fine but come 1am, 3am, 5.30am she is up and crying, asking to go downstairs. She will not lie down and settle back to sleep.
As we also have a 10 month old son who we're also up with on numerous occasions throughout the night it was safe to say we were exhausted! So much so that we had resorted to taking it in turns during the day to have a nap!
We recently had a conversation though that went along the lines of we just need to do whatever we can do so we get some sleep. This has resulted in a bed guard being put onto our own bed and come 1am like clockwork my daughter will wake. We brought her into our bed and amazingly she slept undisturbed until 7am!
It was bliss, and I have to say I actually really enjoyed her being in our bed and cuddling up.
Now we are finally getting some sleep and we're definitely feeling more refreshed and less stressed!
