Pure Pet Food Review

Do you have a fussy cat? We do! Our 3 year old Ozzie is very fussy when it comes to his food.

He will only eat a certain box from a certain brand, however in that certain box he will only out 3 out of the 4 flavours and even then if he doesn’t fancy it come dinner time he simply won’t eat it!

Pure Pet Food creates healthy choice meals for your pets. Their mission is to make healthy choices for pets easy and accessible.

All of their meals are made with nothing but 100% fresh human grade ingredients, lovingly made at their very own human grade facility in Yorkshire, UK.

There are two options are available to purchase;

Freeze Dried Complete

Pure Pet Foods freeze dry technology allows for preservation of meat with zero exposure to high temperature and pressure, retaining a real meat texture with zero preservatives. Freeze dried recipes are the easiest way to give your pet the goodness of a raw food diet without the prep,  with no need to store in a freezer. Just add water and serve.

Dehydrated Complete

The gentle process of dehydration involves blowing warm air across ingredients to remove the moisture content and preserve the food. The meat, fruit and veg are slowly dehydrated between 60 and 90c, removing the risk of harmful pathogens whilst retaining the goodness and nutrients of their fresh human grade ingredients. Dehydrated recipes are a super convenient way to provide the goodness of fresh home prepared diet, with the convenience of more traditional pet food like biscuit and tins. Just add water and serve.

I have been sent the ‘Surf & Turf’ and ‘Whisker Lickin Chicken’ for my cat to try!

Both off these are aimed at kittens and adult cats that may be fussy or sensitive.

Surf&Turf is packed with freeze dried chicken and white fish, grain and potato free with added superfood ingredients.

Whisker Lickin Chicken is a single source protein, complete with human quality food packed with freeze dried chicken.

Pure Pet Food is attractively packaged and inside the box the food is contained in a rather large plastic pouch, and comes with a scoop.

I was a bit reluctant at first as to whether my cat would eat this, as I said previously he is very fussy with his food!

 He was sniffing around and getting under my feet whilst I was mixing the food with the water and he could obviously smell it. He gave it a sniff and after a few wary mouthfuls he couldn’t get it down fast enough, even pushing his bowl around the kitchen floor while he licked it clean, much to my amusement!

He doesn’t seem to prefer one flavour over the other which is great, maybe he’s not so fussy after all!

I can highly recommend Pure Pet Food, it is available to buy at a number of retailers including Pets At Home as well as online prices start from £9.99 and you can buy a variety of size from 200g up to 1kg.

Pure Pet Food is 100% Ozzie approved!
