The Wicked Uncle Toy Review

Who doesn't love receiving new toys?!
This month we have been lucky enough to be a part of The Wicked Uncle Toy Review Programme.

WickedUncle describes itself as a present service for birthdays, Christmas and other occasions. They are the only toy shop in the world that doesn’t sell primarily to parents. They sell to uncle, aunts, godparents and grandparents. Hence the name – Wicked Uncle.

It is all about sending presents to other people’s children. So they aim to make buying a present for a child as easy as possible. They deliberately divide everything by age and gender because those are the things everyone knows about any child and everything is default ranked in terms of popularity.

I was sent a voucher to use on their website and here is what I chose.

Magnetic Airplane Kit

I chose this for my son as he loves playing with anything that fits together. He enjoys trying to piece the parts in their correct places and this will keep him occupied for quite a while, and as it is magnetic it will be doubly fun, and should also make it a little bit easier for him to put together. I especially love this toy as it is sturdy and very well made and I just know it will be a long lasting toy.

It is beautifully painted and even has its own little pilot, moving wheels and spinning propeller.

Designed in France by Janod, and is 17cm long.

It is priced at £16.95, which I think is fairly priced for the quality of the toy.

For my daughter I chose this Wooden Cafe Barista Machine

My daughter absolutely loves role play. She has a beautiful wooden kitchen complete with a vast range of accessories from tea sets, pots and pans to a toaster, kettle and play food. She always pretends to make us a cup of tea or coffee and often brings along an imaginary cake on a plate!

Therefore as soon as I saw this toy I knew she would fall in love with it as I did.

It comes with two cups, a spoon, removeable coffee filter and 5 different coloured coffee pods! It is again very well made although I was a little bit disappointed with the size of it, I thought it would be a little big bigger, but then again it is a good size to fit onto her kitchen. Box Size: 22cm x 18cm x 14cm.
It is priced at £24.95 which I think is a little overpriced, I would be comfortable paying around the £15 mark for this item.

The communication I received was excellent and the delivery service was super quick within 2 days. There are delivery options you can choose at checkout for a quicker delivery if required.

Wicked Uncle also offer a gift wrapping service with 10 sorts of giftwrap, they will also send a handwritten card for a birthday, Christmas or a Christening, direct to the recipient and include a pre-filled Thank You postcard with your name and address on for the child to send back to you.

I feel I should also mention that Wicked Uncle is rated 99 out of 100 for customer service based on 3007 reviews by Feefo and is Gold Trusted Merchant 2015.

For the purpose of this review I was given a £40 voucher to spend at Wicked Uncle.
